Dr. Joy Kanevski ND, RM

She received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and her Midwifery Certificate from Bastyr University in Seattle Washington. Joy is a board certified Naturopathic Physician and currently holds a license in Washington state as Colorado does not yet license NDs.

She trained under many naturopathic doctors at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health including over 1,000 hours of clinical experience. Also included were three homeopathy shifts and three off-site shifts serving homeless women and youth. In addition, Joy trained with three different Naturopaths in Seattle who specialized in pediatrics to gain more experience treating children and families.

She is also a Certified Professional Midwife and a Registered Midwife in the state of Colorado. Her midwifery training included managing over 100 births. More than half of them were home births in Washington State. Joy also spent 4 weeks at the Vila Central Hospital in Vanuatu where she managed 46 natural births and participated in postpartum, neonatal, and pediatric rounds with the attending physicians.

Joy has also completed an additional two year course in homeopathy from the New England School of Homeopathy taught by Paul Herscu, ND and Amy Rothenberg, ND. Through this course she enhanced her skills in homeopathic prescribing, one of her favorite tools for treating children as well as adults.

Joy believes in meeting every individual where they are and working together to empower them toward the health they wish to achieve.
