We want to wish a heartfelt congratulations to Brittany and Jason on the arrival of their son Zachary! This little guy was long awaited, both in pregnancy and during a long labor! Zach arrived at 12:19 a.m. on June 18, 2016. He was perfectly term and healthy, with a birth weight of 7 lbs, 14 ounces.
Each labor is unique, and divinely appointed to each woman. This labor was long, somewhat unpredictable and challenging to say the least. Brittany’s story as she reflects back on her birth, is that though she didn’t get the labor that she wanted, she had the labor she needed for healing and wholeness in her heart. As her midwife it was a hard labor to support and witness, as I wanted to have the “answer” to help it move along faster. It required me to sit on my hands, grip tightly to my faith and hold space for Brittany as she birthed her baby with strength and beauty.
I learn so much from each woman I have the privilege of working with, from each progression of labor and from each lovely birth.
Brittany you worked so hard and trusted your body so beautifully!
And Jason was a steadfast support and encouragement to you. You guys were an amazing team and I’m so happy for you! I feel so blessed to have been your midwife and walk next to you as you journeyed through Zach’s birth.
Beka
