Please join us for a free documentary screening of the award winning documentary “Why Not Home?” Presented with Fort Lewis College as a part of Women’s History Month, this documentary examines the birth choices available and how families make the choices that are best for them. The film taps into many commons concerns, such as:

• The safety and quality of home births
• The conflicting data and political agendas surrounding home birth vs. hospital birth
• Who should give birth in a hospital and why
• Why midwifery care, which can play a key role in healthier births, is marginalized in some areas, yet standardized in others

The screening will start at 6:00pm on March 28th in Noble Hall Room 130 at Fort Lewis College. At the conclusion of the documentary, there will be a community panel led by Dr. Marcy Jung former professor of Exercise Science and Gender and Women’s Studies at Fort Lewis College.
